August leaves us all thinking about back to school. We think about all the school supplies, the back packs, and the new shoes, everything we need to have a successful new school year. But, did you know August is also Eye Health and Safety month?
Heading Back to School is a great time to schedule eye exams for the whole family. Your child's vision is essential to their success in school. Annual exams can help to detect changes in the eye and keep your eyes healthy. If your child is playing sports, it may be a good time to see if contacts may be beneficial to them. I know when my daughter played softball, we were able to get contacts that were tinted to help with her astigmatism and the glare of the sun.
Along with getting annual eye exams, you can also help promote healthy eyes by consuming Omega-3 fatty acids found in certain fishes, and flax seed oil. If you don't have enough of these in your diet, you can supplement your eye care with Fish Oils from GNC.
In support of Eye Health and safety month, GNC has generously donated a $50 GNC Gift Card for one winner. Thanks, GNC!
